All our classes are non-hot and the duration of each class is 60 minutes (unless otherwise stated).

 

Core Yoga

Strengthening your core muscles not only helps you hold your yoga poses longer, it also lowers your risk of back pain, improves your balance, achieves better posture and also helps you to perform daily tasks better. Join us for an invigorating workout to build your abdominal and back muscles for a stronger core! Suitable for all levels.

 

Gentle Yoga

A less strenuous, slow-paced practice that provides a gentle workout without putting any unnecessary strain on your body. Suitable for beginners, those recovering from injuries or anyone seeking a gentle practice.

 

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the foundation for all yoga styles. Our Hatha class is suitable for all levels, using basic to intermediate postures to build strength and stamina, and improve overall flexibility.

 

Hatha Yoga (JPN/ENG)

Hatha yoga is the foundation for all yoga styles. Our Hatha class is suitable for all levels, using basic to intermediate postures to build strength and stamina, and improve overall flexibility. This class will be taught in both Japanese and English.

 

Hatha Vinyasa

Classic Hatha postures are linked with your breath so that it flows naturally from one to the next. This class also explores variations of sun salutations, standing and seated poses along with balancing poses. Suitable for all levels but some prior experience in yoga is required.

 

Hip Opening

Sitting for long hours at work can cause tightness in your hips and your gluteal muscles will become weak. This affects our posture and strains our lower back. Practice hip opening yoga poses so as to help maintain proper posture, prevent lower back pain, improve your range of motion, protect your knees and keep you agile. Suitable for all levels.

 

Pilates Matwork (Beginner)

Pilates teaches balance and control of the body. It improves one’s posture and balance. It also helps to increase one’s strength particularly of the abdomen and back muscles. An invigorating practice with lots of fun! Suitable for all levels.

 

Sun Salutation

Sun Salutation, or Surya Namaskar, is a series of poses performed in a sequence to create a flow of movement to build heat in your body and help you improve breathing, flexibility and blood circulation. A great morning practice to start your day feeling energized and with purpose! Suitable for all levels but some prior experience in yoga is required.

 

Vikram Yoga

Experience an unconventional approach to yoga in this one-of its-kind class that is exclusive to Yoga In Sync. It focuses on strengthening your muscles, and improving your overall flexibility and body awareness. Suitable for all levels including those who are new to yoga.

 

Yin Yang Yoga

A combination of a yin practice where postures are held passively for a longer duration and a yang flow practice which links active and dynamic moves with your breath. Suitable for all levels but some prior experience with yoga is required.

 

Yoga Basic

This class is ideal for those who are new to yoga. It gives you a good introduction to yoga, focusing on fundamental poses with guidance on muscle engagement and alignments. Suitable for beginners, experienced practitioners returning to practice after a long break or those seeking a slower paced practice.

Yoga Flow

Hatha yoga postures are seamlessly linked in a fluid movement with your breath, so that the poses flow in a sequence. While the pace of the class is generally faster, the synchronised breathing can at the same time help calm your mind down, as you focus on your breath and movements. Suitable for all levels but some prior experience in yoga is required.

 

Yoga Stretch

A slow paced, relaxing practice of holding postures for a longer period of time to improve overall flexibility of the body. Suitable for all levels, this class is ideal for those with injuries or seeking a complementary practice to their cardio sports such as running, swimming and cycling.

 

Yoga Wheel (Basic)

Yoga Wheel is a prop that assists in enhancing your backbends. In this 60-minute Basic class, students are guided through a variety of poses with the use of a yoga wheel which helps to release tension and muscular tightness in the back, chest, shoulders, abdomen and hip flexors. You will also learn how to engage and stabilize muscles which are not commonly used in normal practice on the mat. Suitable for those who are completely new to yoga wheel but some basic understanding of yoga poses is required. This class will prepare you for more advanced postures in the Yoga Wheel Intermediate class.

 

Yoga Wheel (Intermediate)

Yoga Wheel is a prop that assists in enhancing your backbends. In this 60-minute Intermediate class, students are guided through a variety of poses with the use of a yoga wheel which helps to release tension and muscular tightness in the back, chest, shoulders, abdomen and hip flexors. You will also learn how to engage and stabilize muscles which are not commonly used in normal practice on the mat. Suitable for intermediate yoga practitioners or those who have regularly attended the Yoga Wheel Basic classes for a period of time. This class builds on the body stability and muscles engagement in Basic class to take on more challenging poses. Expect full inversions, core work and balancing poses using the yoga wheel.
